• Make sure you can access the site via the AcuLink™ Remote Access Service - This saves time on support and issue resolution by allowing you to to access the sites on the AcuVigil™ dashboard to look at the problems before you arrive, allowing for remote troubleshooting or preparation for on-site support. AcuLink™ Remote Access Services also allow you/site owners to update items like skew or inventory remotely.
• Your Secure Zone Router device is capable of much more: when you reassign your Secure Zone Router to the edge of your network, it becomes the firewall for your entire store. Connect all your IP-enabled devices to the SZR and it becomes an application platform connected to the AcuVigil™ Dashboard for granular network visibility and monitoring.
• When the AcuVigilTM tile is ready for activation, you will receive an email confirmation titled "Acumera SZR Square Setup Complete." Connect the SZR to power and the internet. Call Acumera’s Network Operations Center (NOC) at 512-687-7401 to activate the SZR. Have the GVR ID and SZR serial number handy for the fastest service. Acumera's NOC will walk you through the SZR activation.

• Q: What is the Secure Zone Router Solution? 
  • The Secure Zone Router (SZR) is a networking solution for high-speed connectivity that connects all the Passport and Gilbarco Veeder-Root IP-enabled devices at a site. It enhances the security, standardizes, and simplifies the Gilbarco zone network; and increases support services while lowering total cost of ownership. The solution comprises the router, an embedded zone routing software application, and managed switch(es). It helps solve current merchant issues & challenges of:
    • The proliferation of IP-enabled devices and remote services
    • Site visits to make routing changes
    • Dial-up remote support
    • Increased security and compliance requirements

• Q: Why do I need the Secure Zone Router?
  • The Secure Zone Router will replace the current router in the base Passport System Hardware bundle as approved by the brands. The Secure Zone Router is recommended at all sites implementing Forecourt EMV. Integrating additional IP-enabled devices, particularly at the forecourt, introduces support and compliance complexity, potentially exceeds capability of current equipment, limits simultaneous use of all services, and requires standardization to best support our customers.

  • The Secure Zone Router is required at all sites for these configurations:
    • Both Insite360 Encore and Forecourt EMV is present
